Michael “Tim” O’Brien has spent most of his life in Wichita. After graduating from Wichita Northwest High School, Tim chose to join the armed forces and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon his return to Wichita, he enrolled at Wichita State University and worked for a local construction company while putting himself through college. In 1992 Tim returned to the service of the community and began a career in law enforcement that spanned 28 years. In those 28 years he was a patrolman, a financial crimes detective, and eventually a frontline supervisor. In 2012, while still in law enforcement, he secured his real estate license and immersed himself in learning all he could
about real estate, and commercial real estate specifically, by becoming a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and completing courses offered by the organization. Tim engaged with mentors and eventually began performing site selection for a few local developers. Tim retired from law enforcement in 2020 and has been
working on his real estate career full-time since then. In mid-2020, Tim closed his first deal, a $3,000,000 retail center transaction in Houston, Texas.
When not working, Tim enjoys reading, regular exercise, cooking, hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake with friends. Tim has two adult children; one whom followed in his father's footsteps and is serving in the Marine Corps, and the other is being of service to adults with special needs.
